LUCIOLE – Mons en Lumières

For the 2025 edition of Mons en Lumières, the Grand-Place of Mons was transformed by Luciole, a poetic, immersive video–mapping show projected onto the iconic façade of the Town Hall.

More than a visual spectacle, Luciole is a luminous and sonic fable designed to move audiences of all ages. This modern tale leads viewers into an enchanted forest, where a tiny firefly embarks on a journey to win the heart of the Moon. As she travels through magical landscapes and shimmering cities, she learns that even the smallest light can illuminate the world and touch the hearts of others.

ELEFAN crafted the entire musical universe of the piece, an evocative score composed by Lionel Polis and Brieuc Angenot, carried by the warm, crystalline voice of Marcha Van Boven, and elevated by the poetic writing of Fanny Libotte. The music was conceived hand-in-hand with the storytelling, shaping emotion, guiding the narrative, and deepening the sense of wonder throughout the show.
